Delete your account and data
IN THE APP (IMMEDIATE)
The quickest way is through the app, where deletion happens right away:
- Open makeit and go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to Danger zone.
- Choose „Konto und alle Daten löschen“ (delete account and all data).
- Confirm with your password.
You are signed out afterwards. There is no way to restore the account.
BY EMAIL
If you no longer have access to the app or to your password, an informal message from your account's email address to meetme@offline.rehab with the subject "Delete account" is enough. Deletion follows once it is established that the request comes from the account holder.
WHAT IS DELETED
- Your account and your email address
- The stored password hash and all sign-in tokens
- All saved places, lists, recipes, articles, videos and notes
- Friendships, invitations and activities belonging to your account
- Share links (preview pages) you created
- The push id of your devices and any open imports
WHAT IS DELETED ON YOUR DEVICE
When you delete through the app, the following is removed locally as well: sign-in tokens from secure system storage, cached content, geofence data and the notification history. Background location use is stopped.
WHAT MAY REMAIN
Content you actively shared with other people, a place in a shared list for instance, can stay visible to those people. Requests already sent to third-party services (see the privacy policy) are subject to their retention periods and cannot be recalled afterwards.
